As a result of this week’s G-8 Summit in L'Aquila, Italy, the G8 leaders agreed in principle to reduce to limit global warming to two degrees Celsius in the future and reduce their greenhouse gas emissions by 80 percent by 2050. This committment offers an enormous growth potential for solar power both in the U.S. and abroad, as former barriers are becoming non-factors with ensuing legislation that is breathing new life into this industry.
