Possible Topics:
  • Airline consolidation: the scale and profitability disconnect, and constraints on foreign investment
  • Major challenges: labor and IT integration, merging management cultures, choosing a global alliance
  • Route synergies
  • Possible airline combinations: implications for network changes and other practical considerations Dr. Britton will discuss these issues from his vantage as a veteran in the airline industry. He has certain limitations on what he is permitted to discuss about Continental Airlines, and his former employer, American Airlines.
