Liquefaction and pipelines in Alaska address the local desires to keep revenues and jobs in Alaska. Building a pipeline to somewhere in the south, like Valdez is very possible. ROW (Rights of Way, pipeline corridor) are already permitted and mostly available, and the access is available. Knocking off 1,350 miles off the land pipeline will pay for the liquefaction facilities. Ships for transporting LNG should be available. Schedule for an all Alaska facility should be advantageous.

It is an alternative energy, but not a long term solution to energy needs

Ethanol as an energy source is not as cost efficient as we think.
Cost of water, fertilizer, transportation, blending and subsidies detract from its attractiveness.
In the long term we cannot produce enough renewable energy to make a signifigant dent in our energy demand.
Corn and rape seed as feed stock are not likely sustainable as biofuel inputs.

Construction Equipment demand can be Recursive

Construction equipment demand will likely be recursive, and further drive its own demand.

The impact will not only be in China, India and Russia but also in the United States, Australia, Middle East and Europe as well.
Emissions and safety will also drive demand.

The extended well test only covered 40% of the net pay column, and the results of the remainder are not immediately expected.

The well test indicated 6,000 b/d of oil, but one speculation is that the find may be more gas than oil.

Due to the depth of the water and the total depth of the well, there are acute technical issues both in drilling and production, not to mention significant cost to drill the well(s).
