Good news came in the form of a positive ruling from the U.S. Army in upholding a $3.0 billion contract to continue building the new MRAP vehicle, All Terrain Vehicles (M-ATV). The ruling on the part of Army will allow Oshkosh continue to firm up their overall position with the miliary/defense complex as the premier supplier of heavy and light duty transport vehicles.It is also positive news for the overall Wisconsin economy and that of the workforce in the greater fox valley.

The Oshkosh Corporation(OSK) has been on a rapid growth pattern over the past year. In 2009' the company was chosen over Navistar and BAE to build a more maneuverable variant of the military's Mine Resistant Ambush Protected trucks (MRAP) for troops in Afghanistan. Oshkosh is patiently awaiting a final decision on the part of the Army & GAO which recommended in a December, 2009' ruling that the U.S. Army reevaluate its decision in August, 2009' to award Oshkosh Corp. (OSK) the contract.
