Think first about doing a THA procedure in patients with severe hip, low back pain | www.orthosupersite.com

We will see an increase as the baby boomers move solidly into clinically significant osteoporosis...
Hip fracture also will increase for the same reason....although they do not have a high complication rate if the correct surgery is chosen to meet the pathology...overall 20% non-union for femoral neck fractures (more than likely surgeries that should have been hemiparthroplasties). 25% of patients die in first year after hip fracture
If we can truly impact above then there is a case for the product...if not...nice book end...
Non-union...can be tough to heal long bone non-unions..anything to help is helpful...other products available in this space...have to demonstrate significant clinical superiority...ease of use....
