As the owner of a small business, our focus is business-oriented devices.  This device is most notably a consumer-oriented media device. There are some businesses that require the media capabilities of the iPhone and the Trax as part of their industry.  However, for the most part, most businesses do not require these capabilities. One good thing about the Trax.  That is the price.  This is much more cost-effective when compared with the iPhone.

I see this effort by Google as a means to increase the size and usefulness of their local business database.  Local Businesses can already go to google and enter their local business information.  However, as a percentage of businesses out there, not many have take advantage of this free service.  By hiring relatively inexperienced individuals, they can quickly build up their database listings, which they will own.  This will be an incredible asset when it is filled out. Another benefit of this effort is the ability to get more information online, in the larger scheme of things.  This helps everyone that searches online for local services and products.
