Analysis of:SEC Said to Review Apple's Disclosure on Chief's Health | dealbook.blogs.nytimes.com

The SEC has announced that it will consider the matter of Seve Jobs' apparent cancer and whether the Board/Jobs acted improperly in not making a public warning or fuller discolsure. Was it a reportable event? The SEC intiative should be taken as a red flag for every legally responsible official at every publicly traded company. The present author has published and consulted on this subject. He offers a relevant history of the problem, an overview of the law, and a list of best practices.
