I do think tougher legislation will assist the issue.... But, the people writing the new legislation need to know what they are doing ..... The problem in Ireland is the internal Buddy Clubs within the banking system and the government..... To get into the banking system as an employee, it is not what you know or the experience you have it is WHO you know... and it has been like this for decades.... I think that every banking and financial institute in Ireland needs to be completed audited and a comprehensive reviewed carried out on every bank and bank branch, they should all have to use the same best practice methods as standard across all the banks.
