BP and AssetsAfter Moody's and Fitch downgraded BP's credit status by one notch and warned of further downgrades if BP doesn't stem the Gulf oil leak. Some analysts say it may have to sell off its most prized assets.This has caused the White House and the Justice Dept. to look at BP selling off assets that would hurt US supply of crude, ie. Alaska Holdings.Could this set the stage for other governments to ask the same questions of US oil companies such as Nigeria asking for a deal with Exxon.

The questions of biofuels causing a decrease in food supply and increasing costs is in fact true in part. The corn and soy based fuel systems were and still are causing the costs to rise. We need new sources of green fuel which is not food based.
