The Administration has been very public in its search for a Cybersecurity Czar, but the position has never been popular . After false starts with several candidates, the latest edits to the U.S. ICE Act of 2009 (S.921) may have eliminated the position, instead going instead with a interagency "CISO Council" per the original bill, and placing program execution under DHS. The resignation of Ms. Hathaway is expected with Cybersecurity review completed and given the position's uncertainty.
