MetroPCS is making a significant change to their business model this week. These changes are an effort to be better positioned in the marketplace for handset prices, simplify the rate plan offerings and reduce churn events. These changes will slow Boost Mobile's and TracFone's efforts to take market share from MetroPCS and may pressure Cricket to follow suit by changing its business model. Also, the move appears to signal the stabilization of ARPU among the prepaid players.
