Having LG Telecom (mobile operator) acquire LG Dacome (fixed-line operator) will have been a billable windfall for their lawyers and accountants as they came up with an appetizing corporate vision and business plan. Merging mobile operator with fixed-line information technology however is like merging apples and oranges. They’re both fruit but won't grow on the same tree. The anti-trust watchdog may hear consumer issues soon. It might be a good idea for the South Korean government to help out.
