Oil demand in China is also feeling pinch of the slowing down economic growth for the recent months. Growth of total oil consumption has dropped down to just around 5 percent in June and July, and could further drop below 5 percent, if the Chinese economic growth slows down to less than 8 percent toward the end of 2011.

Natural gas consumption is expected to climb up to a new high over 12.3 billion cubic feet per day in August, more than 3 percent higher than that in July and increasing by over 21 percent, compared with the same period of last year.
