Motorola made the best cell phones at the beginning of the new era of mobile communications Their unwarranted fix on their own closed, limited, difficult to use operating system became the epitaph of their cell-phone lead. It may be too late for Motorola. Picking the Android OS may not be the way to go either: pairing a smart phone manufacturer wannabe with an OS wannabe. It they want to get back into the game they need to swallow their pride and support Windows Mobile and PalmOS
