Dimebon (latrepirdine) is a late-stage investigational clinical candidate for the treatment of Alzheimer’s and Huntington diseases. It is being developed by a partnership between Medivation and Pfizer. Although a weak cholinesterase inhibitor, the MOA is thought to be through the preservation of mitochondrial function.
