2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid and Mercury Milan Hybrid Expected to Get 5 mpg Better than Toyota Camry Hybrid | hybridreview.blogspot.com
I think this article is important because it demonstrates the US Carmakers still have what it takes to compete worldwide. Ford has a fine machine with it's new Fusion/Milan Hybrid. GM will be selling the Volt in a year or so. Though each company has it's own spin on Hybrids, I believe more buying options are better to find out which technology will work best in real world use.

Honda Poo-Poos Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV) | www.thetruthaboutcars.com
In regards to the article, I believe Honda is feeling pressure from GM. It is a fact that Honda's vehicles built in the US are produced at factories that may not have Union workers. I believe Honda is feeling the same pressures as our Big 3!

GM recalling 944,000 vehicles | www.forbes.com
More negative news for one of America's largest corporations. GM has been improving quality all the time. People think, "Oh, Japanese cars are better". Look at the recalls from Toyota, Nissan and Honda. They have their share of recalls. It's a shame that GM will take the brunt of this due to incompetent suppliers. As usual, they'll pay, but make good on the recall.

GM And Tesla Motors, An Electric Combo? | www.informationweek.com
GM should consider all possible options to help it get electric cars mainstreamed into it's product mix. If a deal can be struck with Tesla it could only benefit both parties. GM would gain the benefit of an up-and-running powertrain and Tesla could use GM's expertise for a lower cost sedan. Currently Tesla is using a Lotus developed platform from their Elise roadster. In the future they may consider using the Stolcise/Sky platform for their high end roadster thus crating economies of scale. They could then look into GM's part's bin to find the low weight lower cost sedan platform. This could be a win/win for both companies and more importantly, the consumer.

Volt plug-in hybrid is 'No. 1 priority,' GM says | www.msnbc.msn.com
GM takes a leading role in reducing dependence on crude oil. After the EV1 was undeservedly shot down, GM is back again and even better. I feel any new technology, that will reduce or eliminate our dependence on foreign oil, is a win-win for the manufacturer and the consumer!
