The current recession has resulted in job loss and medical insurance loss for many Americans. Unemployed patients certainly are less likely to consult their physician. Even the patients who are still employed are visiting their doctors less often. Having a Health Savings Account (HSA) usually means the patient is responsible for a larger portion of the bill.
