I as most people assumed Apple would just throw the income from sales of the iPhone directly onto the bottom line. They have not and it will reduce this quarters total but improve future quarters. But you can't view a company such as people based on one product line, you have to see what it is doing and in some cases the effect of one product on another. While the iPhone jumped into play the iPod suffered. We have to look at all of Apple.

To some 50,000 units is a good start to others its a flop. Where should the weekend number be and is it important? The initial sales are not important, what happens in weeks 3 and 4 is. Don’t forget this is a throw away phone, you can’t change the battery, so what is the true cost of ownership and will it effect the sales of the unit?

If Adobe is ecstatic so is Apple.
