To smoke or not to smoke - a question that is being pondered by casino properties in Colorado. It's not the only State that has either implemented or plans to start non smoking casino properties. It seem that it has affected the bottom lime for the Colorado properties. The facts are that it may be  a deterrent for some smoking guests to not go into a smoke free casino.

I am not sure what all the fuss is about. There is a down turn in business, however in most cases is has not taken a real bite out of the Nevada casino market. Does it seem a bit of a farce for the hotels to price themselves out of the convention market? It's a far cry from good marketing to abuse their guests with inflated prices that are completely out of sight. Just because the hotels think that whatever they charge for rooms during this most favored convention will be tolerated by attendee's is poor confidence builder with these patrons. It's would be an enormous loss of revenue should CES decide to move on after their contract runs out.

What actually is on the mind of the new ownership of Harrah's? They have been very tight lipped about where they might be headed at the start of this new relationship. They are sitting on some land that Harrah's has paid substantial numbers for. It will be a hard choice to let the project stay status quo for any length of time.  I think there will be some announcement when this purchase is completed in a few weeks.
