Council Member Biography

Adam Andersen is the Managing Director of Evo Consulting, a consulting company providing high-impact solutions to companies seeking to enter the global consumer market for technology products via retail, OEM or service provider channels. Mr. Andersen is a specialist in finance, human resources, IT management, project management, legal and regulatory affairs, call center operations, distribution, fulfillment and reverse logistics. He has served as senior executive in a wide range of businesses, from start ups to Fortune 500. Previously, Mr. Andersen was the Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer of Gateway Computers. He led the rapid and successful post-merger integration of Gateway with eMachines and was a key architect in reducing Gateway's annual SG&A from nearly 25% to less than 9% of revenue (from about $250 million per quarter to $85 million per quarter) within nine months, helping to restore profitability after nearly $2 billion in losses over the prior two years. Mr. Andersen was also the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at eMachines Computers, where he led the rapid transformation of the company from a delisted, money-losing dotcom concept to a profitable, innovative computer company, that quickly became the third largest retail PC company in the U.S. Prior to that, he was the Chief Operating Officer of Wireless Fulfillment Services, responsible for maturing a break-even start-up company to over $55 million in revenue.
