Council Member Biography

Ahmad Ghais, Ph.D., is the Chief Executive Officer of Ghais Consulting. They provide consulting services in International Satellite Telecommunications, particularly where technology, policy and business converge.

Dr. Ghais is the Past President of Mobile Satellite Users Association. He is experienced in providing consulting services in international satellite telecommunications. He participated in the early US space program starting in 1961.

Previously, Dr. Ghais was the Director of Engineering and Operations at International Mobile Satellite Organization, London; and an Adjunct Professor of Telecommunications Engineering at School of Engineering and Applied Science, George Washington University. He has consulted for Arthur D Little, AT&T, Booz-Allen & Hamilton, Globecomm Systems, Inc., KITComm, Lockheed Martin, Newcomb Communications, SATPHONE, Spar Aerospace, SPACEHAB, Inc., Stanford Telecom, and Telecomunicaciones de Mexico.
