Council Member Biography

Alan L. Mintz is Partner at Van Ness Feldman in Washington, DC. Mr. Mintz’s practice focuses on representing clients on public lands and natural resources issues before the United States Department of the Interior, other federal agencies with land use responsibilities, the United States Department of Energy, and the United States Congress. Mr. Mintz has counseled clients in a number of novel legislative and administrative matters involving federal and state energy, land use, and permitting requirements. In addition, he has particular experience in advising clients with regard to large land exchange transactions, requiring complex negotiations with agencies of the federal government, including particularly the United States Department of the Interior, private parties, environmental organizations, and state and local authorities.
