Ms. Alisa Bergman

Council Member Biography

Alisa Bergman is a Vice President and Chief Privacy Officer, Corporate Legal of Warner Brothers Entertainment Inc. She oversees privacy counseling and compliance, as well as development of policy issues for the Studio’s domestic and international operations. Previously, Ms. Bergman was a Partner of the Internet, Communications & Data Protection and Public Law & Policy Strategies Groups at SNR Denton LLP. She represented individual companies, nonprofit organizations and industry groups before Congress, federal regulatory agencies and state legislatures on various privacy, security and e-commerce issues. She assisted with the drafting of laws and development of regulations on these issues. Ms. Bergman also provided compliance counseling on laws such as the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the CAN-SPAM Act, the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLB) financial privacy regulations, the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), in addition to a number of key state privacy and security laws. Ms. Bergman has many years of experience advising clients on all aspects of data protection, including international data management, e-marketing and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) strategy, and has conducted multinational data protection reviews to assist with worldwide privacy compliance and risk management.
