Andrew Ketterer is an attorney with more than 30 years experience as a trial lawyer and specializes in state government relations. Mr. Ketterer was President of the National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG), where he was a member during his three terms as Maine's 53rd Attorney General. During his tenure, Mr. Ketterer became the first Attorney General in more than half a century to personally prosecute a murder case. In the case of State v. Philip Morris, et al., Mr. Ketterer successfully sued the tobacco industry and recovered $1.4 billion, the largest court judgment in the history of the State of Maine. In addition to serving as president of the NAAG, he also served as Co-Chair of the Violence Against Women Advisory Committee and was a member of the Tobacco Committee. Prior to being elected President of the Association, Mr. Ketterer served as Chair of the Conference of Eastern Region Attorneys General. He also served two 2-year terms in the Maine House of Representatives, where he sat on the Judiciary Committee. Mr. Ketterer’s most recent publications include “Litigation vs. Legislation: The Emerging Role of State Attorneys General as National Policymakers,” “Public Attorneys and No-Win Lead Litigation,” and “Improving Maine’s Justice System: A Significant Effort in Progress.” (This is me - Update Profile)
