Mr. Arun Dey

Council Member Biography

Arun Dey is the Founding Chairman, President and CEO of Petroleo La Plata, an E&P corporation with current operations in Alberta (Canada), Argentina and Colombia. Mr. Dey was previously, the President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Southern Pacific Resource Corporation engaged in oil sands development in Alberta until June, 2007. He also held executive positions in other heavy oil/ oil sands companies since 2004. As President and CEO of Dako Energy, Mr. Dey provides management advisory services associated with M & As, investment strategies, start-up businesses, and major project development in the energy sector value chain internationally upon request for short studies/expert advice to clients. He has managed several major upstream, midstream and downstream projects in Canada, USA, and Latin America. Mr. Dey was also the President of South America Business Unit of Alberta Energy Company (EnCana). He has also worked for Esso, Dome, HBOG and NB Power at various engineering & supervisory positions.
