Avram Goldberg, MD, FACR, is Attending Physician at North Shore-LIJ Health System and Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Hofstra North Shore-LIJ School of Medicine in New York. He is part of the division of rheumatology, where he is responsible for treatment of autoimmune and musculoskeletal diseases including rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, gout, scleroderma, vasculitis, and osteoarthritis. Dr. Goldberg participates in clinical trials exploring new therapies for these diseases. His research experience and interest involves novel treatment for scleroderma and fibrosis, lupus, gout, and rheumatoid arthritis. He has experience with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) treatments due to the association of PAH with connective tissue disease and scleroderma. Part of his research is investigating new indications for endothelin inhibitors and vasodilators in vascular complications of connective tissue disease. (This is me - Update Profile)
