Council Member Biography

Brian Shell is the Managing Director for Waypoint Group, a recycling information and trading company. Utilizing domestic and international contacts, Waypoint provides procurement, brokerage, direct sales, consulting and logistical services for the metals industry. Concurrently, Mr. Shell is the Owner of GO Auto, an auto recycling facility that takes end of life vehicles and salvages the usable parts in an environmentally friendly manner. Prior to committing full time to Waypoint Group and GO Auto, Mr. Shell served as the Senior Manager of Sales-Ferrous at Pacific Coast Recycling, a leading US West Coast scrap metal processor and exporter handling approximately one million tons of ferrous scrap per year. Mr. Shell is involved with key operating, commercial, financial and logistical functions, in both long range and day to day activities. Previously, he has served as a District Manager with the David J. Joseph Company and was the Western Regional Manager of raw material procurement for a US based mini mill steel company. His experience gives him a broad perspective of the scrap industry having worked in all areas of the supply chain from processing to melting. (This is me - Update Profile)
