Mr. Carlos Pires

Council Member Biography

Carlos Pires is a Senior Consultant at Portal Commerce & Logistics. Mr. Pires has over 15 years of experience in international transportation logistics, project management, and consulting in a variety of Latin American and North American locations with an expertise in waterborne transportation, port and port terminal operations, and the logistics of natural gas and petroleum transportation. He worked for many years in the United States as a Senior Analyst with American Commercial Barge Lines (ACBL), and as a Senior Natural Gas Analyst for British Petroleum's (BP) Atlantic Basin liquid natural gas (LNG) project in Trinidad and Tobago. In addition to being a Senior Consultant with Portal Commerce & Logistics, Mr. Pires serves as a Regional Director for Servicos de Recursos de Emprego SUD (SRE) a non-profit organization offering work force development, professional recruitment, and training services for professionals the North and Center-West regions of Brazil.
