Mr. Charles Annis

Council Member Biography

Charles Annis is the Vice President of Manufacturing Research at DisplaySearch, where he has been working since May 2003. He has marketing and sales experience in the FPD and photovoltaic industries and is knowledgeable about FPD and PV equipment, materials, manufacturing technology, integration and financial segments of the supply chains. In March 2010, DisplaySearch acquired Solarbuzz. In addition to his display responsibilites, Mr. Annis is also now Vice President of Asia Operations for Solarbuzz. Before joining DisplaySearch, he held management positions at Photon Dynamics and was responsible for strategic planning and business development, identifying growth opportunities for the company and managing due diligence. Mr. Annis was also responsible for market research, and product marketing of automated cell and module inspection tools. Previously, he was an International Business Manager at SAMCO International, a semiconductor equipment manufacturer in Kyoto, Japan. Mr. Annis is a native English speaker and is fluent in Japanese.
