Chester B. Salomon is of counsel at Becker, Glynn, Melamed & Muffly LLP. Mr. Salomon has represented debtors, creditors, lenders, trustees, litigants, and asset purchasers in complex Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 cases for 40 years. He was a Senior Shareholder and Co-Chair of the Bankruptcy/Workout Practice of Stevens & Lee in New York. Previously, he was Senior Partner of Salomon Green & Ostrow. Mr. Salomon has spoken publicly in the United States and Europe and has written numerous articles on insolvency and bankruptcy topics. His 2010 publication and speaking engagements include “Clawback Controversy - Claims and Defenses in Madoff, Stanford and Other Ponzi Cases” (Harvard Club, New York, February 5, 2010); “Clawbacks in the Madoff Case” (Dow Jones Daily Bankruptcy Review February 24, 2010); First Hamburg Insolvency Symposium on Comparative Restructuring (U. of Hamburg May 15, 2010); and “Is Bankruptcy on the Horizon for BP?” (GLG Teleconference June 15, 2010). Between 2004 and 2010 he was a Director of the American Bankruptcy Institute. He received his A.B. from Columbia University and his J.D. and LL.M in Taxation from New York University School.
