Council Member Biography

Chris Levan is President of Carbon Fiber Solutions and was previously Manager of Technical Services at Cytec Carbon Fibers LLC. Mr. Levan has over 40 years of experience with carbon fiber and composites and is considered a technical expert on the subject. He managed research and development groups in this field and was responsible for new product development and customer technical service on a worldwide level. He holds numerous patents and publications in this area and is an active member of the Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering (SAMPE), American Carbon Society and Clemson University’s Center for Advanced Engineering Fibers and Films. Mr. Levan is also currently a part-time Subject Matter Expert on Carbon Fiber at Oak Ridge National Laboratory since October 2011. (This is me - Update Profile)
