Chris Bohanon is Senior Director of Governmental Issues in the D.C. office of Van Ness Feldman. Mr. Bohanon provides government policy advice and representation on federal legislative and regulatory issues, with special emphasis on energy, environmental, transportation, and natural resource matters. Mr. Bohanon has worked to move legislative initiatives through Congress. Prior to his joining Van Ness Feldman, he worked at the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA), during which time he held several senior positions, including Principal, Legislative Advocacy and Director, Outreach Affairs. He also worked on such legislative initiatives as the 1996 and 2002 House and Senate farm bills, the House and Senate energy bills, including the Indian Energy title and the overall impacts of FERC jurisdiction and electric transmission pricing policies on rural electric cooperatives, and other legislation that directly or indirectly impacted the availability or pricing of electricity. Furthermore, Mr. Bohanon was the principal lobbyist for the NRECA’s International Rural Electrification program. (This is me - Update Profile)
