Council Member Biography
Conal B. Duffy is a Vice President at Alliant Emerging Markets, a leading insurance brokerage and risk advisory unit of Alliant Insurance Services which is majority owned by the Blackstone Group. Mr. Duffy has over 20 years of experience in international project finance and development. He has worked for several US Government foreign assistance agencies, including the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) where he was a Senior Investment Insurance Officer specializing in infrastructure projects, Africa and the Middle East. Mr. Duffy is a frequent speaker at project finance conferences and his work on political risk, particularly for IPP's, mining and exploration and production companies has been featured in many publications. Prior to working with OPIC, he was a Senior Business Development Officer at an international engineering and consulting firm. (This is me - Update Profile)
