Council Member Biography

Dan Nelson is currently a Board Member with Encore Associates, a strategic advisory solutions provider to the food and consumer goods industry, since 2008. Previously, Mr. Nelson has served as a Senior Vice President of marketing & Chief Operating Officer for Global Market Development Center (GMDC), a CPG industry trade association. In this role, Dan focused on membership that includes over 200 chain retailers and 700 suppliers working to develop health, beauty, wellness, natural products and general merchandise categories. During his career with fortune 500 companies such as Dow Chemical, Schering Plough and Henkel Corporation. Dan Nelson has developed extensive experience in leading teams, organizational change, strategic planning, and business acquisition and integration as well as extensive background with US and global retailers in building successful business development plans. He has been involved with a number of committees in the CPG industry during his industry tenure. (This is me - Update Profile)
