Dr. David Green PhD, CFA

Council Member Biography

David Green, PhD, CFA, is a Managing Director with Angel Oak Advisory Services since April 2010. Dr. Green is also a Managing Principal of david green advisors. He was previously a Treasurer at BankUnited, with over $13 billion in assets, it is the largest bank headquartered in Florida. Dr. Green was responsible for the investment portfolio, funding and derivatives, secondary marketing, FTP, and asset/liability (A/L) management. He was previously the A/L Manager at SunTrust, the seventh largest bank in the US, where he built and managed the interest rate risk models for the bank. Dr. Green is the former Chairman of the Georgia Bankers Association's A/L Management Committee, and was also a Bank Examiner at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. He is also Chairman of Bancware's (division of SunGard Data Systems) US Client Advisory Council. Dr. Green holds a PhD in Economics from Georgia State University, a BS in Applied Mathematics from Georgia Tech, and a CFA charter.
