Mr. David Merrion

Council Member Biography

David Merrion is the Chairman of David F. Merrion LLC, a firm providing consulting services on diesel engines, alternate fuel engines, alternate fuels, hybrid power trains, and emissions from engines. Mr. Merrion's clients include Detroit Diesel, Freightliner, General Motors, Eaton, and International Truck and Engine. He is on the Board of Directors of Clean Diesel Technologies, and Hy-Drive Technologies. Prior, Mr. Merrion was the Executive Vice President of Engineering at Detroit Diesel Corporation. He introduced a new diesel engine in 1988 and developed several alternative fuel engines. Mr. Merrion also developed three new engines with Daimler Benz. He is currently on the National Academy of Science Committee assessing fuel economy technology for medium and heavy trucks. (This is me - Update Profile)
