David Portman, MD, is the Director and Principal Investigator of the Columbus Center for Women's Health Research and Clinical Instructor at Ohio State University. He has conducted over 100 clinical studies in areas of contraception, osteoporosis, menopause, and sexual dysfunction and urologic health in female patients. Dr. Portman regularly performs gynecologic and urogynecologic surgery. He is a member of many professional societies in reproduction and menopause, and published his research in peer-reviewed journals and presented results at numerous national conferences. Dr. Portman’s consulting and lecturing across the country gives him unique insight into national trends in health care delivery and physician perceptions regarding new therapies. He has experience in all aspects of drug development from phase II trials to marketing. Dr. Portman is on Teva's Council for Advanced Treatment of Menopausal Symptoms and has worked with Merck, Lilly, Roche, GlaxoSmithKline, and Abbott in an advisory capacity.
