David Sykes is the Founding Partner and Principal of PRMA Consulting, United Kingdom. He is an expert in pricing, reimbursement, and health outcomes within pharmaceutical and medical device sectors. Mr. Sykes has over 14 years of blue chip experience at J&J, Lilly, and Organon within global, European and UK roles. He has led the development and successful implementation of pricing, reimbursement, and market access strategies across a wide range of therapy areas and across all phases of product development. Mr. Sykes has experience of individual country pricing, reimbursement submissions, and payor negotiations. Exubera is the first major product to fail primarily due to Pfizer's inability to convince payors of it's value for money There is now significant additional risk in achieving market access after regulatory approval. Pricing and reimbursement decisions will play an increasingly important role in the commercial success of companies going forward.
