Mr. David Tkachuk is the Founder and President of Proconsult International Inc. (PII) and provides oil & gas expertise to both the Energy and Banking & Finance Industries. He has more than 31 years of oil & gas industry experience spanning four continents, the Americas, Europe, Africa and Asia, providing institutional investors with valuable insights on a global, regional, localized, and corporate level. Mr. Tkachuk has previously held key integrated senior executive positions in a number of North American and Western European oil & gas companies (over 14 yrs) and also consults to oil & gas operators senior leadership, from large government owned national oil companies (NOCs) to independent, publicly traded international oil companies (IOCs). He has over 29 yrs of experience managing international E&P projects in senior executive, managerial and consultancy and advisory roles, a number of which had projected costs in the billions of dollars. He spent 11 yrs at Esso in Canada before founding PII. (This is me - Update Profile)

IEA reports China has surpassed the USA as top energy consumer

The International Energy Agency (IEA), an oil & gas industry icon and energy advisor to many of the world's key countries, reports that China has indeed become the world's largest energy consumer, well ahead of expectations. China has been quick to deny this. While controversy swirls on this monumental change in world order other statistics maintain the status quo.
