David Wazer, MD, is the Radiation Oncologist-in-Chief at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA and Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, RI. Under his direction, the hospitals provide state-of-the-art care including intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), Image guided radiation therapy (IGRT), stereotactic radiosurgery, brachytherapy (LDR, HDR, and electronic), hyperthermia, and will soon offer proton beam therapy. Dr. Wazer is also a Professor and Chairman of the Departments of Radiation Oncology at both Tufts University and Brown University. He is a well-known cancer therapy pioneer. Dr. Wazer has numerous publications, serves as editor-in-chief of the American Journal of Clinical Oncology, co-edits several premier text books, actively conducts oncology research, and has been recognized by numerous publications as "one of the best doctors in America". Dr. Wazer also serves as President of Pratt Radiation Oncology Associates, a subsidiary of Tufts Medical Center. (This is me - Update Profile)
