Council Member Biography

David Wignall is Managing Director of DWA, a new port consultancy based in Singapore. Mr. Wignall was Managing Director of BMT Asia Pacific. He has experience in conducting research on ports, shipping and offshore matters. Mr. Wignall has been based in Singapore, Bangkok and Jakarta for over ten years and was responsible for port and shipping studies throughout Asia. He has extensive knowledge in ocean cargo transportation, engineering and construction, container and bulk terminal developments, container and bulk logistics planning, and environmental reviews of marine developments, as well as other port and marine transportation projects. Mr. Wignall was responsible for the development of ports in Russia and other former soviet states. He was a member of the senior management team at Stena, where he was responsible for the direct line management of ports and terminals. (This is me - Update Profile)
