Council Member Biography

Debashish Roy is Founder of ADAPT Solutions a company focussing on solutions in the area of Environment, Energy (solar) and Education. Previously he was Director Projects at Cognizant Technology Solutions and built the client-server and internet technology group(s). As a key member driving the Ebiz Corporate group, the group grew to almost 40% in size at Kolkata. Simultaneously, he participated in corporate activities related to CMM Level 4 as ATM member, and in CMMi Level 5 and PCMM Level 5 as management representative in key process areas like Technology Change Management. He was Delivery Head - R&H (Retail & Hospitality) Practice out of Kolkata, anchored building Cognizant’s Travel and Hospitality (T&H) practice (covering restaurants, hotels and travel). The R&H practice, by 2008, became one of the fastest growing sub-verticals. Debashish was earlier associated with Tata Consultancy Services for a period of 13.5 years wherein he managed projects in Europe & USA. Graduated in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Jadavpur University (1982) and later Post Graduated (M.
