Council Member Biography

Douglas Coleman is CEO of Major Medical Supply, LLC, in Colorado. He has 20 years of experience in the durable medical equipment (DME) industry. Mr. Coleman grew a start up firm to over $6 million in revenue and in 1994 sold the business to what is now Apria Healthcare. From 1994-2000, he was Chief Operating Officer for a start-up medical device company that manufactured a device to enhance human reproduction. Mr. Coleman returned to the DME industry in 2000, and now operates eight branch office locations for Major Medical Supply, which services patients in the front range of Colorado, generating approximately $10mm in annual revenue. The company offers home oxygen, continuous positive airway pressure (sleep therapy), durable medical equipment, travel oxygen, braces and supports, lift chairs, retail medical products and support stockings. Mr. Coleman is also President of the Colorado Association for Medical Equipment Services and serves on the AAHomecare State Leaders Advisory Board. (This is me - Update Profile)
