Edward D. Krenik is Senior Principal in the Government Relations, Advocacy and Strategy Section at Bracewell & Giuliani located in Washington, DC. Previously, Mr. Krenik served in the Bush Administration as Associate Administrator for Congressional and Intergovernmental Relations at the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), where he developed strategy for Clear Skies initiative, clean water priorities, and other environmental legislation, such as the landmark brownfields law. Before that, Mr. Krenik was Legislative Director and Appropriations Staff Associate for US Rep. Rodney Frelinghuysen (R-NJ) and staffed all 13 appropriations subcommittees for the Congressman. Earlier, he worked for Rep. Dean Gallo (R-NJ). He also worked for the House Appropriations Committee, where he primarily focused on energy, transportation, environment, healthcare, Army Corps of Engineers, and defense department and agencies budgets. Mr. Krenik's legislative achievements included work on the Oil Pollution Act of 1990, specifically the double hull for oil tankers law, various superfund bills, and the energy bill of 1992. His clients include: ATV, refinery, small and diesel engines and utility industries, and he is currently consulting on liability issues pertaining to the respirator manufacturing industry on avian flu.
