Council Member Biography

Ernest Horvath, PhD, is currently Chief Executive Officer of E. Horvath & Associates, a reinsurance consultancy company. Dr. Horvath was previously Vice Chairman - Head of Zurich Office at Flagstone Re until January 2007. He was also Managing Director of Converium, Bermuda Branch, which belongs to Converium, a Swiss Reinsurance company, one of the largest reinsurance companies in the world. Before 2002, Converium belonged to the Zurich Financial Services as Zurich Re. Dr. Horvath has over 40 years of worldwide reinsurance underwriting and management experience, especially related to Europe, and 25 years at the senior management level. Dr. Horvath has a doctorate in economics from the University of Neuchatel, Switzerland. (This is me - Update Profile)
