Farhad Zangeneh, MD, is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at George Washington University School of Medicine in District of Columbia. He serves on the board of directors of ACCE and recently contributed to the AACE Diabetes guidelines. Dr. Zangeneh is the Medical Director of Endocrine, Diabetes and Osteoporosis Clinic (EDOC) in Sterling, Virginia. His clinical interests include DM, osteoporosis, vitamin D deficiency, metabolic bone disease, lipid disorders, autoimmune thyroid disease, and endocrine hypertension. Dr. Zangeneh’s research interests include the interplay between insulin resistance and impaired insulin secretion in the natural history of type 2 diabetes; endothelial dysfunction and the vascular biology of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS) and atherosclerosis. His ongoing research projects include the silent epidemic of Vitamin D deficiency. Dr. Zangeneh is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and has a subspecialty certification in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism. (This is me - Update Profile)
