Gas/Coal to Liquids Projects: way forward
December 10, 2008
AUSTRALIA-Coal-To-Liquid Fuel Project Shelved | www.ft.com
China is interested in utilising its big Coal deposits, although Co2 emissions are higher using this technology, it is still profitable to produce desulphurised diesel with Gas/Coal to Liquids technology in certain geographical areas; for example if a New European Emission regulation will be changed, as it seems it will be, Gas/Coal to Liquids market will receive a considerable support. The United States elected President policy foresees a greener approach for Petrochemical industry, CTL/GTL could be part of this new way, also keeping in mind that US have got a considerable resource of coal.
