Fritz Demopoulos has been active in the Chinese media and internet business for over eight years. He was the Cofounder/CEO of Qunar.com, a travel Meta search engine based in Beijing. Besides his start-up, Fritz has been an advisor to well-known Chinese and international media companies including Titan Sports – China's largest sports newspaper group; Hairun Media – China's largest producer of scripted TV programming; and Interactive Corp. Previously, Fritz was SVP Business Development for Netease.com and was part of the senior management team that oversaw a significant increase in the company's share price. He was also Cofounder/CEO of Shawei.com, a sports internet company. After securing investment from Intel, Softbank and IDG, Shawei was profitably acquired by Tom.com. He started his career in China as BD Manager for The News Corporation where he worked with a number of News Corp-affiliated companies including STAR TV, ChinaByte, NDS and Twentieth Century Fox.
