Fred McClure is Partner at Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal in Washington, DC, where he has a national reputation for excellence and extensive legislative experience with Congress. He also has broad advocacy experience with the Executive Branch of the U.S. Government. Among his many career highlights, Mr. McClure has served as Assistant for Legislative Affairs to President George H. W. Bush, as Special Assistant for Legislative Affairs to President Ronald Reagan, and as Associate Deputy U.S. Attorney General. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the George Bush Presidential Library Foundation, and the Board of Directors of Alex Lee, a North Carolina-based food retailer and distributor. In 2006 he completed a term as a member of the Secretary of Energy's Advisory Board. In February 2002, Mr. McClure completed four years as Chairman of the Cotton Bowl Athletic Association. Mr. McClure is the former managing shareholder of Winstead Sechrest & Minick's Washington, DC office. He also previously served for more than five years as managing director of Public Strategies, and as a former Government Affairs Staff Vice President of Texas Air Corporation. Mr. McClure also served as a managing director of First Southwest Company. His other U.S. government service includes Legislative Director to U.S. Senator John Tower of Texas, Chairman of the Board of Visitors of the United States Naval Academy, and a member of the National Civil Aviation Review Commission.
