Gene Plavnik is the President of Heat Technologies, Inc. He has over 25 years of experience in managing projects relevant to HVAC, boilers, water heaters, commercial and residential appliances, heat pumps, standby generators, lawn mowers, engine driven pumps, small engines (less than 25 hp); industrial and commercial heating, drying, thermal processes including electric motors, switches, and sensors. He has experience in paper, natural gas and electric utilities, converting and packaging machinery, food and beverage equipment manufacturing, heat exchangers, consumer products, industrial heat-treatment, testing, and other industries. He holds an MS in Heat and Mass Transfer Engineering. He also holds three US Patents relevant to the field of heat and mass transfer, heating and drying, and boilers. He and his company also conducted a lot of research and development works in the field of HVAC, heat exchangers, appliances, controls and sensors. (This is me - Update Profile)

Alternative Energy is expensive today and needs serious attention. New standards to be enforced by the federal government could create the alternative energy industry, require alternative energy to be present at new and renovated commercial and residential dwellings, where it is economically viable. New dwellings, warehouses need to be equipped with some form of alterntative energy to begin with.

Today's condition of the production of ethanol looks as it is not cost effective. Ethanol itself has some problems in the process of combustion in the internal combustion engine (ICE). But this is today. When the ethanol producers start providing market with desireable volumes of the fuel, the situation will be improved. Needless to say the USA and the rest of the world urgently need new sources of energy.
